Team Overview and Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a PROJECT INVESTMENT CONTROLLER based in our Milan headquarters, reporting to the CAPEX Manager and functionally to the Finance department of the Business Unit Transmission.

The main task is to support the governance of manufacturing investments, managing project planning, procurement relations and spending status.

Key Activities and Responsibilities

• Support the CAPEX team in preparing comprehensive business cases, outlining financial aspects, risks and expected returns.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Manufacturing, Procurement, Machinery, R&D, Plants) to define project budgets and ensure alignment with financial objectives.
• Monitor supplier saturation, identify alternative suppliers and potential spending efficiencies.
• Track project progress, timelines and budgets together with Project Engineers.
• Define the project breakdown structure, monitor expenditures and forecast final costs.
• Identify and address budget variances, proposing efficiency actions.
• Generate regular reports on project economics and key metrics.
• Develop post‑project financial analysis to assess accuracy of initial projections.

Key Requirements

• Master’s degree in Management Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong skills in budget management and project accounting.
• Experience with SAP.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and production‑facility investments (plus).
• Previous experience on EPCI projects (plus).
• Experience with procurement processes (plus).
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities in English and Italian; additional languages (French, German, Finnish) are a plus.
• Analytical mindset, problem‑solving skills and team orientation.
• Willingness to travel up to 50 %.
